Oregon Trail Mix Bark

If I had the means, I'd market these things and sell them round the world. They are that good. First, I'd create a barketing campaign (ovbiously), the slogan would be, "all bark, no bite, it just melts in your mouth." Hey, I never claimed to be a marketing genius, I mean "barketing genius". That might explain why my audience consists of only my children, but hey, they reap the benefits.

Sorry, I've just begun and already I've lost you. Maybe I can lure you back in with a sexy photo...

If you managed to make it down this far, you didn't judge me to badly on my dad jokes, errrr, mom jokes? Hopefully, I've made up for it with that photo, and this recipe. My kids seem to forgive my jokes pretty quickly when I set this bark in front of them. Speaking of which, you could turn this picture into reality in just a few minutes. You'll be barking up that tree in no time! I know that doesn't fit really, but I was just dying to use that one. Stay with me, I'm almost done.

Keep reading for the instructions. But I wouldn't blame you if you'd like to wing it. It's pretty basic. Melt some chocolate. You'll want to pay close attention to this next part, as it is the most important part of the whole process. Screw this one up, and the whole recipe is shot:). Add Grizzlies Brand Organic Oregon Trail Mix in it. Cool it down, then proceed to eat the whole tray. Sounds doable, right?

For those not so adventurous, just follow these 4 simple steps.

What you'll need

2 Cups favorite chocolate chips or bar chopped up, melted

Flaky salt

Step 1

Melt chocolate on stove, double boiler, or microwave

Step 2

Place 1 1/4 cup trail mix in bowl and pour melted chocolate on top. Stir to combine.

Step 3

Pour chocolate/trail mix mixture on to parchment lined baking sheet and spread out in even layer.

Step 4

Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup (or more) trail mix on top along with flaky salt and place in fridge for 30 minutes to cool.

Serving

Once it‘s cooled, break it into desired size pieces and try not to eat it all in one sitting. But before you eat it all, you'll want to stack it into a pretty pile for your social media. Tag us if you do, and you could be handsomely rewarded. If you are the kind of person that has self control, package it up in wax or parchment paper and give it as gift to that chocoholic in your life.

ENJOY!
